Meyer Lemon & Sesame Tossed Cold Noodles
Makes: 1 plate of noodles. Serving size as shown.
Ingredients
1 pack dry instant noodles
1 tbsp Chinese sesame paste
1/2 tbsp Meyer lemon juice
2 tsp tamari
1/2 star anise pod
1/4 tsp sichuan peppercorns
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Salt, to taste
Zest from half a Meyer lemon

Method
Grind the star anise pod and peppercorns to a course, powdery consistency. Finely chop the chives.
Mix the sesame paste, lemon juice, tamari, flavour packet from the noodles, and all spices in a small bowl to make a uniform paste.
Cook the noodles per the instructions on the packet. Drain the noodles completely, transfer to a bowl with a lid, and pour the paste over the noodles. Close with the lid, toss the noodles till they’re fully coated.
Plate the noodles, and sprinkle the chopped chives and lemon zest all over.
